A smile is the most beautiful curve.....and this I agree on, so, so much. A smile is everything, from being happy yourself to making someone else happy, it's always the remedy for any struggles. I would say that I'm pretty confident with smiling and I never fail to do so every single day. However, I am conscious about one thing and that is my teeth. From a young age, I've always had a sweet tooth (to be honest, that hasn't really changed in my adult years) and this led me to having a tremendous amount of trips to the dentist. I don't remember how old I was, but I did go for an appointment to get braces fitted and after the second trip where they took a mould of my teeth, I didn't end up going to get them put in which I regret a lot.
I then got on with life, years past and it wasn't until I was about 22, when it just hit me one day. I smiled, looked in to the mirror and noticed the gap between my two front teeth, I mean, I wasn't horrified with what I saw, but in my mind, I was thinking as to whether I wanted to do something about it now. I didn't as you can see and I am still proudly providing big smiles which for me means I am confident in smiling despite not having perfect teeth.
So this brings me on to the next part of my teeth journey. I am thankfully, not a smoker, but I am huge tea drinker and that means only one thing, stained teeth. I've never had a 'professional' treatment and have only tried whitening toothpastes before which work to an extent, but I have never found a particular one that is a favourite as such. Until I tried the Janina Ultra White collection which has literally changed my life. All Janina White toothpastes contain two natutal fruit enzymes, pineapple and papaya combined with Bromelain complex to provide a low-abrasive teeth whitening formula. There are four toothpastes in the collection and I have the Extra Strength one. Others include one for sensitive teeth, one for enamel repair and one up from extra strength which is called Maxiwhite Super Strength, so a nice little range that suits everyone. Within the collection, there are also teeth whitening strips working on a seven day system that are hydrogen-peroxide free and safely whitens teeth without hassle.
On the fourth day of using both the toothpaste and the strips, I noticed that my teeth were visibly whiter and the stains were fading. On the sixth day, my teeth were glistening and the stains were pretty much gone. On the ninth day, they were literally as white as snow and I couldn't be happier with the results. I've honestly never tried anything like it before and super impressed with how well the process went. I would 100% recommend trying out Janina if you're looking for teeth whitening products that work and yes, they're a bit more pricier that your normal Colgate or Aquafresh, but the results are so, so worth it and saves paying hundreds on a professional treatment.
National Smile Month runs from 16th May - 16th June and it is UK's largest and longest running campaign to promote and maintain good oral health. This year, they're also celebrating their 40th birthday which is super cool. I know we're almost at the end of the campaign now, but please don't forget that good oral care is important for the future of your smile and don't let anything dampen that beautiful curve.
*This post is in collaboration with Janina White, however all opinions are my own and I really enjoyed using their products.
