Rahua Haircare was founded in New York by Fabian Lliguin and his wife Anna Ayers as premier haircare brand. The key to it's outstanding performance is the molecular structure within the formula. Unlike other botanical oils that simply coat the strands of hair, the extraordinarily small Rahua oil molecule penetrates the hair’s cortex, bonding and repairing it while simultaneously smoothing the hair’s cuticle. The oils are sourced and processed in Amazonion nations by women and men using the traditional methods and rituals that have been passed down for generations and are committed to creating 100% natural - vegan, organic, sulfate, paraben, gluten and cruelty free formulas on the market.
I have to admit, that upon first sniff (I always smell everything before using it, just a thing ya know), I wasn't too keen, it smelt too raw for my liking, but then again, I had to remind myself that these products are organic and natural hence no perfumery scents. As I have extensions, the best hair products to use are those that create volume, so the shampoo and conditioner combo were right up my street. The Rahua Voluminous Shampoo cleansed by scalp throughly which is something of difficulty with extensions as it's hard to get right in to the scalp with the rings, but I felt that the lather was able to penetrate deeply and give my scalp a good cleanse. Getting past the scent, this shampoo was also able to breakdown the oil build up on the roots which was perfect as it made my hair last longer between washes and kept it feeling fresh. The Rahua Voluminous Conditioner is a creamy, yet lightweight product which I only apply to the ends of my hair. It doesn't weigh down my hair at all and leaves it looking and feeling super soft and bouncy. I also like the fact that it doubles as a styling cream which is great for prepping when using styling tools. Lastly, if I fancied a treat, once a week, I try to pop on the Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask which is a super intensive hair mask that penetrates deeply in to the strands to bring life back in to my hair as well as promoting shine and rejuvenating damaged ends. I only use this on the ends of my real hair and the ends of the extensions, as placing this on my roots will create too much moisture on the rings and in turn loosening them, but if I didn't have extensions, I'd definitely drown my hair in this mask as it's just so good.
As the Rahua range is considered a premier hair brand, the price of the products are slightly more than your average, but they're honestly so worth it and if you're looking for a natural brand that does wonders, then Rahua is your best choice.
