Creating an at home spa is something that I love doing once a month and it’s actually one of those things I mark in the calendar so I know exactly when it’s going to happen so I can prepare for it (yes, I am one of those people that have to plan for things like this, haa!). I’m always on the lookout for new products to add to my home spa experience, so I can get the best out of it as one cannot afford to go to a proper spa every month.
When I received products from Amayori and Senspa a while back, I immediately squealed with excitement and added them to my spa basket and penned in a date to use them. Last weekend was that date where I turned my phone on silent, put the ‘busy’ sign on the bathroom door and indulged to my heart’s content. I ran a nice, warm bath and poured a generous amount of Senspa’s Detox Muscle Soak in to the water, as the bubbles formed, I did my usual skincare routine and then popped on a layer of Senspa’s One Minute Radiance Mask. If you don’t have a bath at home, the Amayori Shower Mochi’s are the perfect alternative to achieve the same experience, simply pop one on the shower floor and let the water disperse the scent in to the air. It creates a lovely aroma, just like how spa’s smell and is super relaxing too. To get my skin feeling clean and refreshed, I used the Clear Your Mind Body Wash and after drying off, finish off with a thin layer of Caudalie’s Divine Oil which is my absolute favourite. To ensure I get the most out of my home spa, I also paint my nails and sometimes, pop on an overnight hair mask for extra indulgence.
The whole home spa experience takes me just over an hour and it is definitely one hour of pure bliss and so easy to create. For an added treat, I’d probably make myself a nice hot chocolate and take a couple of magazines in the bath with me too. However, if I really feel like treating myself, I’d book myself in for a little spa day, along with some treatments. There is nothing better than having a good swim, soaking in the jacuzzi before laying down for a nice, relaxing massage.
