Sometimes, things may get a little hectic in life, it may feel like there are so many things to do, but not enough time to accomplish or achieve them. Planning and organisation has always been one of my stronger skills, call me an eager beaver or a control freak, whatever, but having some sort of plan to follow allows me to ensure everything gets done in a timely manner with the least stress possible. Here are three tips that I believe will help you become a more organised person and they're extremely simple to follow.....
Make Lists - Always have been and always will be my number one tip. I find it so easy to think of something and forget it and if I don't write it down, I'll be kicking myself when it's gone. I use lists for my home and work tasks, my groceries, blog posts, finances and just about everything else going on in my life, writing it all down can make a whole lot of difference, trust me! Lists can also help you visualise and plan everything ahead, so use them to its full potential, honestly, nothing is more satisfying than ticking off everything on that list.
Do One Thing At A Time - This tip applies for the more bigger tasks/goals in life. You may think multi-tasking is an effective skill and by all means, it works for a lot of people, but for me, it suprisingly isn't that effective for me. I find it better to devote myself and give attention to one project before hitting on the next and engaging myself, one purpose at a time is super key.
Schedule In Advance - This goes hand in hand with making lists and scheduling in advance works well all round with everything. Having an overview of all tasks and appointments for the week ahead will keep you in track and allow you to be more productive. Scheduling lists also help to minimise procrastination as you would know when and where specific jobs need to be done and ensure you do them on time.
