I'm going to apologise now for the upcoming home posts as I'm going to moving soon and I am so excited to have a place to decorate and make my own. As the colder months start drawing in, my favourite place to snuggle will definitely be the bedroom, so it will be one of the first rooms to tackle as soon as I get the keys. My idea of a cosy bedroom consists of a comfortable mattress, blankets, cushions, fairy lights and lots of hot chocolate, followed by a ton of movies or a good book. In terms of themes, I am being that typical blogger and opting for light and bright rooms, shades of grey with hints of copper, voila! Not cliche AT ALL!
Naturally, I have spent every single spare minute on Pinterest, pinning to my boards with a gazillion pictures of how my dream home should look like and from there, I have been taking a lot of inspiration as well as getting super jel over other people's homes on my #housegoals board.
Okay, so let's talk about my first home related moodboard (expect more to come in the next few months, hee!), a few key items that I have picked up or will be purchasing include this amazing (and so fluffy looking) throw from Rooi, there's so many cute and cosy home items on there, it' definitely worth checking out. The memory foam mattress from Fishpools will be an addition to my current one and just look how comfy and bouncy it is. The blanket box is another cool find on Fishpools and I love the velvety material which will look perfect matched with my bedframe. The copper floorlamp will be an amazing addition to the room and looks so chic. I found it on Amara Living and the brand of the lamp is actually KTribe. On the same site, I also checked out the candle section and found one of my fave brands on there, which is Cire Trudon and the jar is copper and just so, so pretty. Lastly, adding in the finishing touches, I am all over fluffy cushions, the fluffier, the better and Next have some incredible ones right now, like this grey faux fur beauty. They're relatively affordable too which is a bonus. And, finally, a cosy bedroom won't be cosy if fairy lights weren't involved and I happen to find these ones from Lights4fun which are hung on a bendy copper wire, so it is super versatile in how you want them to look. I'm definitely going to be using them in bell style jar just like the image, what do you think?
What is your idea of a cosy bedroom?
