When it comes to luxury beauty products, I always get this overwhelming feeling when using them. I am constantly worried that I'm using it wrong or I've used to much, then I get fiddly fingers and drop some and then I'm like 'OMG, that product is worth so much money', but then on the other hand, I really enjoy having that bit of luxury in my life, because put it this way, most of my days consist of 50% casual wear, 40% dry shampoo and 10% coffee, so you get the drift. I actually don't even know why I just wrote such a rambly intro, but hey, this is real life right down to the core and I still don't make any sense whatsoever, let's just move on.....
My current luxury beauty favourites consist mainly in the skincare category which I have been getting really in to lately. I'm going to start with the Panasonic Facial Enhancer which is a game changer if you're looking to up your skincare game this year. It is a 3-in-1 beauty tool that allows you to improve both natural and enhanced skin hydration using a stimulation of movement of ions in the body. The three ways that you can use the enhancer is: 1) to clean and remove dirt and grime leftover from a traditional cleanse, 2) to penetrate product further in to the skin and allowing for a more deeper moisturisation and 3) to cool, tighten and firm the skin. I have been using this every other day for the past month and noticed a huge difference in texture of my skin and the overall radiance has improved.
Next on the luxury favourites list is a brand I've only recently heard of, called Jivesse. The brand focuses a lot on reversing the effects of internal and external ageing and preserving youth, self-esteem and vitality. I love a good sheet mask, they've always been a favourite of mine, and the Jivesse Collagen Gold Mask is by far the most luxurious that I have ever tried. Infused with 24-carat gold leaf, this sheet mask aims to visibly lifts, tighten and firm the skin with every use and the end result is a smoother and more youthful complexion. My skin, after one use of this mask (no joke) was literally gleaming, it was instant and visible and felt tight, but not in a dry way, it just felt so much more firmer. The combination of marine collagen and hyaluronic acid contributed to the soothing and hydrating properties and the 24-carat gold regenerated the skin, revealing a more radiant complexion overall.
Another mask that I have been loving on the luxurious side is the Zelens Transformer Instant Renewal Mask. For those who want a quick pick me up before big events, parties, etc, this mask is your best friend. A unique complex of potent ingredients transforms the skin by renewing it and the results are honestly (hand on heart) instant. All I need to do is cleanse my skin and apply a layer of this, leave on for 15 minutes and the result is smoother, glowing and youthful looking skin. No effort whatsoever and I can achieve an instant boost, who wouldn't want that? This mask also smells incredible and feels creamy and super luxurious.
Stepping away from the skincare now and we are on to body. Over the winter period, the coldness really took it's toll on my hands, so I upped my game on the hand cream and tried out the Aesop Reverance Aromatique Hand Balm and OMG, I really don't know how I'm going to revert back to my less pricier hand creams because this one is just so good. It's rich, thick and moisturising and just perfect for those who have tired hands. It softens the skins immdiately and thanks to it's earthy scent, it's also super relaxing. Despite the texture, it leaves my hands with a non-greasy feeling, making it perfect for every day use.
My last luxury favourite of the bunch has to be the Philip B Forever Shine range and you know when they say 'save the best until last', there is a reason for that and that reason because it's simply amazing! When I first found out about the price of Philp B's products, I was legit gobsmacked and really couldn't work out how the products could be at that price, but after trying it out, I instantly realised that his range is definitely one of a kind. The Forever Shine Shampoo and Forever Shine Conditioner is by far, the most priciest hair range I have tried and to say I'm addicted is a bit of an understatement (also bad for the bank balance) and you know when they say, you get what you pay for, well, quality exceeds everything in this case and yes, it is super expensive (I will stop going on about that now), but my hair has honestly, never felt so clean, so shiny, so textured and swishy in my life. Oh, and it smells incredible too! If you buy one thing luxury this week/month/year, make it this hair duo, you will not be disappointed.
Have you tried any luxury beauty products lately? If yes, what are your favourites?
