Glossy Box Review (July) #3

Hello Everyone,

I’m so excited to share this Glossy Box post with you all as I have received the best box so far since signing up. This month’s box contained:

  • HD Brows – Eye and Brow Palette
  • Clynol Salon Exclusive – Enrich Colour Shampoo
  • Monu – Golden Glow
  • Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics – Lip Frosting
  • Elizabeth Arden – Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion SPF15

The box also contained a bonus product which was the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Range. It included the skin exfoliator cleanser, skin serum and skin balancing lotion.

HD Brows – Eye and Brow Palette

Review – What an amazing product to get in my box this month considering it costs £19.95 on the Glossy Box site. It did wonders for my brows, as you can see from the above photo, the difference is quite clear (the left brow when you’re looking at this photo, but it was actually my right brow that’s filled in). The pigment of the shades were very fine and soft and it glided along my hairs smoothly creating definition and shape. It comes in a compact with a mirror and brush, so I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a new brow filler.

Clynol Salon Exclusive – Enrich Colour Shampoo

Review – A lovely smelling shampoo that lathered up really easily. But, I didn’t see much of a difference in the tone of my hair colour after a few washes. An average product for me.

Monu – Golden Glow

(A bit of a botched job on the wrist, sorry)

Review – I really hate that after smell of fake tan, do you? Luckily, this product doesn’t release that smell as quickly as some other tans do. I don’t use fake tan often as my natural skin is ever so slightly tanned already, lucky me eh, but sometimes, when I do feel like giving my skin a bit more colour, I’ll reach for the bottle. The one that I’m currently using is the St Tropez Gradual Tan. I applied this Monu Golden Glow bronzer on to my arm at night for sampling, but found that it took a while to sink in and I did have to rub it continuously for it to disperse. However, the next morning, I woke up to a nice bronzed arm and I actually like the colour it has given me.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics – Lip Frosting

Review – My second favourite product of this month’s box. This lip gloss is amazing and tastes so good. If I could, I would eat the lot. It’s a lovely, pink shade with a hint of shimmer, great worn on its own or over pink lipstick. It’s also quite moisturising and left my lips very soft throughout the day.

Elizabeth Arden – Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion SPF15

Review – This has to be my favourite product of the box. It is a very lightweight lotion that moisturised and freshened my skin. The scent is lovely too. Another good point is that it contains SPF, which is very important for the skin. Even though the sun is not shining, you can still get sun damage, so you must always apply protection on a daily basis. This is the perfect product for me, light, fresh, smells nice and has SPF. I’m going to pop this in to my “To Buy” list.

Bonus product – Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Care Range

Review – Like I said above, my favourite product in this box was the balancing lotion and I have started to love it more since using the exfoliating cleanser and skin serum. I pampered myself with a mini facial using these sachets on the weekend and I am considering changing some of my current products for the ones above. The exfoliator cleanser was gentle and cleansed my skin nicely, the serum was extremely moisturising and left a a visible glow to my skin and the lotion, as I also said above, very light, fresh and non sticky.

So, that’s all with my July Glossy Box. Do you have a Glossy Box subscription? If not, it’s time to sign up, click on the banner to the side of my blog and it will take you straight to the site. If yes, what are were your favourite products?

You've shown great pictures, a real insight into the box! I love the idea of the HD Brow Palette, bit pricey for me at the moment though, lucky you getting it in your box 🙂
