On Tuesday evening I attended the Live Bloggers event hosted by Grace from AllThatSlap and Ewa from SocialBeautify. I orginally heard about the event through Victoria from VikBeauty who then put me in contact with Grace, so big thanks to her for arranging an invite for me.
The event was held at Piccadilly Institute in Central London, where a little area was sectioned off for us. Along with two other bloggers, Lisa from BrunetteBeautyBanter and Laura from LauraLouBeauty, we walked all the way to the top of the bar, then back down again before finding the area nicely tucked away above the bar. Grace and Ewa gave us a warm welcome and introduced us to Victoria, Annie and Aysh, the bloggers that had already arrived. Very quickly we all settled in as more lovely ladies came through, soon the party was in full swing.
Ewa then explained what the event was about and how it works. The event being ‘Live‘ meant we were encouraged to facebook/tweet/instagram the whole time we were there using the hashtag ‘livebloggers‘ so we could start trending. The main topic of the night was what are our favourite splurge and budget beauty products. There was so much beauty talk going round that I couldn’t even keep track in between all my tweeting and instagramming. My favourite splurge product is the YSL Lipstick and my favourite budget products are anything by MUA and ELF which was also what the table agreed.
On one side of the area, a table was laid out with range of beauty items that were sponsered by the brands for the event. We were allowed to try the products and of course tweet live and follow the brands.
This body butter was my favourite. It smells so yummy and was really moisturising.
We were then treated to some lovely food and cakes, truly spoilt by the lovely hosts!
At the end of the night, we were all given a huge goody bag to take home with us which included all of the night’s products plus loads more. I was well and truly chuffed as I now have a enourmous amount of things to try and review.
A massive thank you to Grace and Ewa for organising such a lovely event, it was a great night and also to the PR companies who provided us with products to test.
And last but not least, the wonderful bloggers of the night.
With Love, Julie
