Area H2O Hard Water Haircare Review

Area H2O Hard Water Shampoo and Conditioner (*)

Area H2O is a revolutionary haircare range that aims to combat the effects of mineral deposits through different water types. It has been designed and developed by bio-chemists to work with different types of water following six years of clinical trials. They have defined the types in to three categories, hard water, medium water and soft water. During the trials, they found that metal ions which are present in all types of water react with shampoo to form mineral deposits that stick to your hair. The Area H20 range attract the ions and allows you to wash them away easily leaving you with cleaner and smoother hair.

I received this Hard Water Duo in my Live Bloggers goody bag last month and was waiting till I had finished using my current shampoo and conditioner before starting on this set. I had a little check of the map and it stated that London is a hard water based city. So that’s why my hair always looks so dull!

Hard Water Shampoo – This shampoo is of a gel consistency and smelt amazing when applied, very sharp and fresh. It lathered up well and only a small amount was needed for my shoulder length hair.

Hard Water Conditioner – The scent of the conditioner wasn’t as strong as the shampoo, but still smelt nice and is of a cream consistency. I also feel the need to double dose up on the conditioner most times as one huge blob doesn’t feel as though its enough.

After my first wash, my hair felt extremely clean and looked much more shinier straight away. I continued using this every other day for two weeks and my hair has become a lot softer and less flyaway. I tend to get a bit of frizz on my crown and these products seemed to have helped that. Overall, I have really enjoyed using these products and would recommend it to anyone who needs a boost to fine and flyaway hair. The only downside and it’s only a “small” downside is that I seem to have to use quite a bit of conditioner to fully cover my hair. But, having said that, it makes my hair extremely smooth, so I can live with using a little more.

Area H2O duo costs £17.50 and can be purchased here. You can also get the shampoo and conditioner separately.

With Love, Julie

Fab review Julie, I am so pleased you like the set and noticed a difference in your hair. I also seem to use more conditioner than shampoo for some reason!
