Glossy Box Review (September) #7

In time for London Fashion Week, the lovely people at Glossy Box sourced the most exciting stars in the fashion, design and beauty world for this month’s box, which is named as “Rising Stars“. The limited edition box has been exclusively designed by up and coming illustrator Maggie Li. It looks absolutely gorgeous, so I’m definitely keeping it for my collection.

On to the contents of of the box. This month I received:

  • Lady GAGA – Fame Fragrance

  • Rodial – Glamoxy Snake Serum and 5 Minute Facial Mask

  • Balance Me – Wonder Eye Cream

  • Vichy – Idealia Day Care Cream

  • Maghrabian – Hair treatment Oil

Lady GAGA – Fame Fragrance

I am a massive fan of celebrity fragrances, I have perfumes ranging from Britney Spears to Sarah Jessica Parker to Mariah Carey and my list doesn’t stop there! So, when I received this in my box, I let out a little squeal of excitement. I loved the scent of this perfume, it’s got quite a sweet yet rich smell to it which I really like and it also lasted all day. Definitely going to purchase the full size bottle.

Rodial – Glamoxy Snake Serum and 5 Minute Facial Mask

Glamoxy Snake Serum – This felt great on my skin, it made my skin much tighter, but not in a drying kind of way. It was also non-sticky compared to a few other serums out there and smelt lovely.

5 Minute Facial – This mask contains anti-ageing peptides to reduce the apperance of fine lines and vegetable collagen alternative which is great for mild exfoliation and improving redness. I haven’t started to get any fine lines yet, so can’t tell if they’ve reduced, but it definitely made my skin feel really smooth and left it looking less dull. I tend to get redness on my cheeks because of my sensitive skin and this was reduced after using this mask.

Balance Me – Wonder Eye Cream

This is the first Balance Me product I have tried and I must say that I’m really impressed with the result of this eye cream. Other than the benefit of soothing tired eyes, this also reduces the appearance of fine lines and hydrates using hyaluronic acid and witch hazel. It was easy to apply, really light and absorbed well. My eyes felt refreshed after just one application.

Vichy – Idealia Day Care Cream

This was my favorite product from the box. I only needed a little amount and that pretty much covered my whole face nicely. This cream combined with gel made my skin feel instantly rejuvenated. It glided on smoothly and acted as a great primer for my make up. The scent was amazing too. For £25.00, it’s quite pricey, but well worth it.

Maghrabian – Hair treatment Oil

A pure argan oil serum, conditioner and treatment all in one, this really is the ultimate hair product. I have been applying small amounts to the ends of my hair for a week now and have noticed a difference to the frizziness. My hair instantly detangles when this is applied and it makes drying a lot more easier. A definite contender to other hair treatment oils out there.
