I had read about quite a few YSL lipsticks before on other blogs and last week, I finally took the plunge and got one of my own. I decided on the Rouge Volupte Perle range because it was part of the new set of lipsticks from the brand and I wanted a subtle shimmer shade as oppose to the matte shades I usually pick up.
Upon application, I was immediately in love with the colour. At first, a very subtle pale pink, which then transformed in to a silky nude shade with a light hint of shimmer. The texture of the lipstick is really smooth and glides on nicely leaving a pearly shine behind. My lips are left full and soft and it also lasted a good few hours without the need to reapply.
The YSL Rouge Volupte Perle lipsticks retail at £23.50 which is a bit pricey, but is well worth it. I personally think that this is one of the best everyday nude shades I’ve come across and I’m definitely going to put a couple of these on my Christmas list.
Have you tried any other YSL lipstick ranges before? Is there any others you would recommend?
With Love, Julie
