Percy & Reed Volumising Mousse and Bodifying Cream Review

I don’t often use a lot of products on my hair, in fact, I dont actually know what to do with my hair most of the times anyways, let alone adding extra stuff to it, it just always looks the same. I have been growing my hair for the past 2 years and it’s proven to be quite a bit of task as I often colour and straighten it which causes a lot of damaged ends and I live in a hard water area. Since coming to Hong Kong, I have noticed a massive difference to my hair, it has become much shinier and the lengths have definitely grown longer, I reckon it’s something to do with the water. So, I thought that with the extra bit of length gained, it would be the best time to try out some volumising products I received from Percy & Reed just before my trip.

Percy & Reed Volumising Mousse is designed to give you extreme volume and lift without the sticky stiff feel. I applied this to freshly washed hair just before a night out and couldn’t believe how much volume it gave me. I loved the fact it felt so light, yet gave my hair so much body and it lasted pretty much most of the night, definitely a thumbs up from me.

Percy & Reed Bodifying Cream is applied on to towel dried hair before styling and aims to give you a gorgeous and glossy finish. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this product very effective at all and in fact, it gave me really greasy roots after blow drying and I didn’t even apply a lot. I tried this again a further three times and each time it gave me the same results. My hair just ended up looking flatter than ever.

Overall, I definitely recommend trying out the mousse as I found that it really worked for me by helping to create oomph and giving my hair more texture. As for the cream, I don’t want to give up on it just yet, I think I’ll give it a few more go’s and see how I get on.

I know that recently Glamour magazine were giving away free Percy & Reed products, did you manage to pick up any? If yes, what did you think of them?
