MAC All About Orange Lipstick Review – Sushi Kiss, Tangerine Dream and Flamingo

Launching just over a week ago, All About Orange is MAC‘s newest limited edition range. The collection is described as “sizzling, vibrant and modern”. As you most probably know, I am a MAC make up addict and of course as soon as the collection launched, I literally drop everything and my only focus of the day is to get my hands on some of it. Finding it extremely difficult to decide what to go for, I finally settled on three lipsticks and a blusher (post at a later date).

MAC Lipstick – Sushi Kiss £14.00

Sushi Kiss is described as a “mid tone cream coral” with a satin finish. Even though it looked more orange than coral before applying, it actually transferred on to my lips as more of a bright peach. It has a perfect balance of orange and pink tones with a warm sheen and is quite opaque upon application. The texture, however is somewhat chalky and dry, so I would suggest a good scrub of the lips before applying.

MAC Lipstick – Tangerine Dream £14.00

Tangerine Dream is described as a “warm orange cream” with a lustre finish. It has a soft, translucent sheen to it and has a subtle hint of golden yellow shimmer. It is semi opaque and applied well on to my lips as most lustre’s usually do and is very buildable. I don’t particularly think it suits my skin tone as much, maybe more paler skins could pull it off better. What do you think?

MAC Lipstick – Flamingo £14.00

My favourite out of the three, Flamingo is a “milky bright coral” with a lustre finish. It has a heavy pink  undertone with a subtle hint of coral. Like Tangerine Dream, it is semi opaque and has luminous sheen to it, it almost reminds me of Betty Bright from the Archie’s Girls range, but much more shiner due to the finish.

Overall, I wouldn’t say these lipsticks are a must-have as you can probably find similar shades either from MAC or other brands, but I’m a sucker for limited edition, therefore for me, it’s like “I have to try it!” It looks like all the shades are currently sold out online, but I’m not too sure about the stores. Did you manage to pick up anything from the collection? What do you think of the colours I got?

I swatched all of them in store but didn't get any of them because I just felt like orange doesn't suits my skin tone as much but I really love Flamingo. I was so closed to getting it.
