La Prairie Skincare Products Review

La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Serum £290.00 (*)

La Prairie Anti-Aging Emulsion SPF30 £138.00 (*)

La Prairie Eye & Lip Contour Cream £126.00 (*)

Probably the most expensive skincare range I have ever tried and also the most effective range I have ever come across. La Prairie is a well known luxury skincare brand hailing from Switzerland, focusing on cellular anti-ageing therapy using its scientific approach to beauty. Only found in La Prairie products, the special anti-ageing ingredients deliver essential nutrients to improve the overall appearance of the skin, in turn, creating a more healthy and revitalised complexion. La Prairie products aim to prolong the youthful appearance of even the most delicate of skins and confronts each problem with its unparalleled commitment to excellence and luxury.

Tailored to my skin condition, I was prescribed three products from the range:

White Caviar Illuminating Serum – made for skins with uneven texture and pigmentation, this serum is literally a godsend. It’s light, silky texture ensures this glides on my skin smoothly, the luminous parts brightens my complexion and adds a glow instantly. The effectiveness on uneven skin tone is just amazing, within two weeks, the different coloured patches have evened out to reveal more smoother skin and a healthier looking me.

Anti-Aging Emulsion SPF30 – this emulsion aims to guard your skin against accelerated ageing, helps prevent harmful UV rays from damaging the skin and forms an invisible film to lock in moisture and control hydration. Now, you must be thinking, well any cream can do that, but nope, this is no ordinary cream. This works from the cellular level, where the ageing begins and stops it from there. If you’re late in preventing ageing, then this cream can also reverse that, by restoring the existing damage through exfoliation and regeneration. I am at that stage where I need to prevent, so this cream has given me a head start on that. I love the creamy texture, yet it doesn’t leave a heavy, greasy feeling behind. The scent is very light and not too overpowering. SPF30 ensures I’m protected from the rays, even in these cold winter months, really, what more could I ask for?

Eye and Lip Contour Cream – this eye and lip cream works to restore, repair and protect the skin around the eye and lip area and at the same time, it nourishes and moisturises. I’m not a big eye cream user, but I am so pleased with the results of this one, I may just be a new convert. The skin around my eyes definitely looks and feels much more hydrated. I have a few fine lines and these have become less visible with just two weeks worth of use.

Overall, I am totally thrilled with this range and despite the hefty price tags, I would absolutely recommending giving it a try. I have found that you only need a little of each product during use which means, it will last you a while before having to restock. Will you be taking the plunge and giving La Prairie products a go?
