Movie marathon? Makeover? Use bingo to kick them up a notch!

For the last few generations, the sleepover has become a rite of passage. It’s a chance to bond with friends of the same age in a private environment, to share experiences, and just plain have fun.

Perhaps the best thing about sleepovers, though, is that there’s no definite age limit on them. It doesn’t really matter if you’re ten, twenty, or thirty as long as you still enjoy hanging out with your friends and staying up until the wee hours of the morning.

Some of the activities do change, of course, but makeovers and pamper nights are still popular no matter what age you are. Movie marathons are also still in (be ready to devote almost 20 hours if you plan on watching the entire Harry Potter series, though and watching the movies you used to watch is the perfect way to relive past sleepovers.

If you want to kick the fun factor up a notch on your next sleepover, though, you may want to consider spicing it up with a little bingo action. See, the game is starting to gain ground with the younger set, especially women. UK-based bingo site Bingogodz has even been known to offer makeup giveaways on their Twitter account.

One of the great things about bingo is that you can customise it to fit almost any type of activity. Is your sleepover going to be makeover-heavy? A little makeup bingo will add a bit of random crazy fun to the experience.

All you need to do is collect all the cosmetic products your sleepover group brings and number and categorise them by fives (five eyeshadow, five eyeliner, etc.). Go to Bingo Card Generator and make a 5×5 bingo card with each category on a different line. Pick a letter (B, I, N, G, and O) and a number (one to five) at random out of a hat or box to determine which products you’ll be using. You never know, you might end up discovering a whole new look that you can rock.

You can also use bingo to add an extra layer of fun to your movie marathons. Design Sponge’s post on movie night bingo is a great place to start getting ideas from. There’s a blank movie bingo sheet as well as a sample for a rom-com bingo card.

Hopefully these tips will get your creative juices flowing when you’re planning your next sleepover. Have fun!
