Beach To Bar – Celebrate National Bikini Day

In count down to National Bikini Day on the 5th of July, I thought I’d share some personal style tips on how to transform your look from beach to bar with just a few extra items packed in your beach bag.

For The Beach

Isn’t this polka dot swimsuit just the cutest thing ever? With a double block colour and halterneck tie, it is literally the perfect and most versatile item to wear on the beach. A kimono is an essential cover up for those who get burnt easily and also, after a night out, it may get a little chilly in the after hours, so this will keep you nice and snug. Sunglasses are of course a must on a hot summer day, these ones are a little different to the usual black or tortoise shell and the rounded frames make them uber retro looking. In order to change outfits from day to night, you’ll need a good sized bag to carry your bits, not only does this backpack look super cool, it’s also roomy enough for everything. Pair your look with these black platform sandals, having that little extra height is well worth it and they’ll be mega comfortable too.

For The Bar

As the sun begins to set and with only a minimal amount of effort needed, slip on these high-waisted tapered trousers to create the perfect night out look. Add some simple silver jewellery, tie your hair in a high ponytail, then give your lips a slick of pink lipstick and you’re good to go! The backpack will keep everything safe and instead of shoving it on your back via both straps, hold it loosely on one side for that ultimate, casual, yet edgy look. The shoes will be comfy enough to last you all night which means you won’t have troubles getting up the next day, slipping them on and doing it all over again.

Swimwear brand Swimwear365 have also been counting down to National Bikini day by posting a series of six articles on their site which offer a range of advice on bikinis and how to get in shape for the summer. Make sure you check them out here and maybe pick up a bikini or two along the way.

What do you think of my beach to bar creations? Do you have any nice holidays planned this year?
