Holiday Edit: Beach Bag Beauty Essentials

what to take in your beach bag

Ahhh, beach days, I do love you very much. Not only do you give me a lovely golden tan, you simply make everyone happy when you’re around…..” So to ensure I am fully equipped for such days, I have rounded up my ultimate beach bag beauty essentials. Don’t worry, it won’t lug down beach bags and it will keep you happy and protected all day long.

First and foremost, the most important thing in my beach bag is a good body SPF. For my skin type, I normally go for a 30 and I find it effectively protects me from burning. My first choice in brand is always Nivea and this newly launched Protect & Refresh Spray (*) is going to be my go-to on holiday.

For my face, I’m choosing to go with Radical‘s Skin Perfecting Screen (*). It is a 100% chemical free sunscreen with a lightweight texture and not only does it reduce the appearance of wrinkles, it also provides the perfect matte base. An all rounder product that also makes the essentials is Murad‘s Essential-C Sun Balm (*), great for quick touch up’s, especially for the shoulders, decollete and facial areas such as the nose and the lips. This is definitely one of those products you need to keep handy at all times and with such compact packaging, it will be easy to carry round.

Moving swiftly on to hair, I’m going to take the Mark Hill Sea Salt Spray (*) for my daily fix of tousled, beach hair. I am a loyal fan of Bumble‘s Surf Spray, but wanted to try something different this time and Mark Hill always have awesome products, so this one made the cut. Lastly, just a couple of accessory pieces that are definitely essentials for any beach bag, my favourite sunglasses from H&M to keep my eyes protected from strong rays and a my large floppy hat from ASOS, burnt scalps are not attractive at all.

Salt Spray is definitely a must! And that comes from someone who spent the first 20 years of her life on the beach.
