All sunned out and had a great time? Thought yes as you would of been fully equipped with all your skincare, bodycare, haircare and make up essentials, not forgetting a full seven days of fashionable outfits. Now’s the time to repair your hair and skin, it’s been through quite a strenuous time and needs all the love and nurturing it can get. So, let’s talk after-sun beauty care ay?
After extreme sun exposure, do you find that your hair becomes frizzy and drier than usual? Well, that’s because heat makes it thirsty, therefore it needs some hydration to restore it to it’s best. From Trevor Sorbie‘s Frizz-Free (*) range, I’ll be using the shampoo and conditioner to control flyaways and repair broken strands and the mask to deeply penetrate my scalp and stimulate my roots.
Skincare wise, I’ll be digging out my good old Calendula Restorative Treatment Serum from Jurlique (*), not only does it rebalance the skin, bringing it back to life and all, it also injects extreme moisture to ensure smooth and soft finish.
To keep that glowing, golden tan of mine, I’m going to apply tremendous amounts of the He-Shi Sublime Dry Oil (*). This is a new product from the brand and will literally be the only product you need for everything. It is a multi-purpose oil that you can use on your skin, hair and nails and will give you the nourishment you need without being too heavy.
So that’s it, my two week holiday edit has come to an end. I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I had, planning and writing it and I hope you managed to pick up some tips and advice. If there are any other you questions you want to ask or if you want recommendations on products etc, please don’t hesitate to ask, either through email or twitter (@rainingcakeblog), I would love to hear from you! Here’s to the next edit, whatever it will be! Cheerio for now……
