Face Of The Day #2

Prepping the skin is the most important part of having a flawless base for make up, so today I’m using the Vichy Normaderm Purifying Cleansing Gel (*) to refreshen and purify my skin, followed by the Melvita Rose Floral Water (*) to tone and hydrate. I’ll then apply my all time favourite, the Effaclar Duo + (*) from La Roche Posay to unclog my pores and moisturise with Nivea’s newest face cream which contains natural plant extracts to support the skin’s melanin production to help the natural tanning process. Don’t be fooled by thinking it contains self-tanning agent, it actually has zero of that.

For my make up, today I have decided to go for a more earthy look, think of beige and golden hues followed by red-brown lips. Priming with DHC‘s Clarifying Pore Cover Base (*), I then applied a thin layer of the YSL Touche Eclat Foundation and gave it a matte finish with Silkygirl‘s Magic BB Powder. To bronze and highlight, I opted for the new Bourjois Delice De Poudre Duo (*), this stuff is amazing and the packgaing is compact, so it’s perfect for carrying in your handbag. On the eyes, I primed with Smashbox‘s Photofinish Lid Primer (*), then applied the super pigmented NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in the shade Subra (*). I lined with Bourjois‘s Waterproof Contour Clubbing Eyeliner in Ultra Black (*) and Eyeko‘s Skinny Liquid Liner in Black. I went for the Rimmel Wonder-Full Mascara (*) to give my lashes feather-light volume and used my trusty Brow Box (*) from Urban Decay for my brows. Lastly on to cheeks and lips, I opted for more Bourjois. I’m totally loving their new releases at the moment; the Cream Blush in Tropical Coral (*) applies like a dream and Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in the shade Nude-ist (*) is a current favourite.

Do you like the finished look?
