As previously mentioned in my Port Eliot post, I had the pleasure of staying at the Lancaster London hotel in London the night before the trip. Situated in the heart of central, the 4 star hotel boasts a plethora of luxury rooms overlooking the best views in London. Hayley and I stayed in a twin room on the 18th floor which was equipped with two single beds, a huge bath tub (always a plus!), flat screen TV, two sofa chairs and basically everything you need for a pleasant stay.
We also sampled a three course evening meal at Island Grill, one of the hotels restaurants and was served by Sam who was ever so polite, professional and friendly. I chose to start with a delicious round of calamari, then a 10oz sirloin steak for the main which was cooked to perfection. I finished off with panna cotta on a bed of the hotel’s own honey collected from the beehive on the roof. Needless to say, I was nursing a food baby after the meal, but it was well worth it.
The next morning, we ordered breakfast to our room while we got ready and it was delivered correctly and promptly, we really couldn’t have asked for better service.
I honestly had an incredible experience staying at the Lancaster London and would recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury, convenient and comfortable hotel with amazing views. Sister hotels also include The Landmark London and K West Hotel & Spa, I’m definitely going to look in to planning my next stay very soon!
