Treat Your Feet

Feet are one of those things that often get neglected as soon autumn hits. They’re covered up and no longer need to be seen for the next six months (unless you’re lucky enough to go on holiday during the colder months). So in today’s post, I’m sharing a very simple routine that I follow every two weeks to ensure that my tootsies get the treatment it deserves.

Starting off, I like to give my feet a little soak with Elemis‘s Skin Nourishing Shower Cream, just a note, that I don’t always use products specifically for the feet. I don’t feel the need to go out and buy a whole load of new products when what I have at home works perfectly fine. Five minutes in to the soak, I give each foot a good scrub with Urban Tan‘s Glamour Grit Salt Scrub (*). This scrub works really well in removing dead skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. Drying off, I then whip out the Micro-Pedi (*) to get rid of any hard skin on my heels and the balls of my feet. raining cake blog

On to the cuticle work now, I apply a small dabs of Liz Earle‘s Superskin Concentrate on to each toe, leave it to soak and push back my cuticles with a manicure stick. For moisturising, I am currently loving The Body Shop‘s Body Sorbet in Strawberry (*). After a little massage, I take a cotton wool pad filled with The Body Shop‘s Nail Varnish Remover (*) to get rid of any last bits of old nail polish and moisturiser, so the new polish can be applied on nicely.

Colour wise, I have been testing out the polishes from Only Fingers and Toes. I love their colour

range and they apply on really smoothly and lasts for days without chipping. I am using the shade Blanco (*) for today’s pedicure, I love a white nail polish and this one is just perfect, not too tippex-like, just a nice, luxurious colour. In addition, I use the Loreal‘s 7-in-1 Saviour Serum Polish for my base and Model’s Own Hyper Gel Top Coat to seal the deal.

What do you do to treat your feet? Do you have a pedicure routine?
