make up for flawless skin

Creating a flawless base of make up is not as easy as it seems, finding the right products that match your skin tone and type, is able to apply well and last is one hell of a task in my opinion. Recently, I started dabbling with some make up from NARS, I’m sure you would of heard of them before, either on this blog or on other blogs. It is one brand that has been consistently good for me and achieving that perfect base has never been easier.

Primers have always played a big part in my routine, not only to hold my make up in place, but to also blur and refine my pores, the NARS Pore Refining Primer (*) does everything a primer need to do and gives my skin a smooth canvas to work with. I haven’t always been been a huge concealer user, but when I was given a demo of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger (*), I was instantly hooked. The effect it gave my skin and what it manage to eliminate with such a small amount of product was pretty darn amazing and luckily for me, it was very easy to recreate and I have never look back since.

The ‘talk of the town‘ foundation, the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (*) was one of those ‘must try‘ items on my list. With the first application, I can honestly, hand on heart say, it was one of the best I’ve tried. It didn’t take long to blend in and when it was blended, it felt like there was nothing on and my skin looked incredible, smooth, dewy and just perfect. The last step in my base make up routine always involves powder. Because I have combination skin, I need that extra hold and this is where the NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder (*) comes in to play. It instantly enhances the look of foundation and prolongs the wear. To apply, I simply use a large powder brush and sweep it gently over my face, the texture of the powder is super soft and silky and leaves me with a shine-free finish that lasts.

Have you tried any NARS products before? What do you use to create your make up base?

I haven't tried many NARS products so far but I would love to try some more, especially some of their base products, and maybe one or two of the new Audacious lipsticks x

I'm currently experimenting with NARS Foundation! Can't decide between sheer glow or the new sheer matte. I've taken a few samples home from Sephora to try:) I'll need to try the concealer
