The Boyfriend Edit: Five Step Grooming Routine

Hi everyone.

Glad you’re all still keeping around for my posts, I’ll be glad when it’s over, jokes. I honestly don’t know how Julie manages to post every day, I mean, I struggle with once a week.

In today’s post, I’m talking about my grooming routine. I never use to have one until recently, Julie does have a big part to play in that. So, here goes:

Step One – Since growing my beard, I have been looking for products to maintain it’s condition. I stumbled across this LUSH Kalamazoo Beard and Facial Wash about a month ago and I’ve really enjoyed using it. It’s got quite a thick texture and leaves my skin feeling nice and soft.

Step Two – I have oily skin and usually by midday, I’m pretty shiny, but since using the Anthony Oil Free Facial Lotion (*), it has really helped to combat the oiliness and keep my skin shine-free for longer.

Step Three – To keep my beard nice and soft, I use beard oil every day. The Brighton Beard Company stock a great range and I am currently using the Ylang Ylang and Sandalwood Oil (*).

Step Four – I have tried a number of hair products in my lifetime and nothing has compared to the Bumble and Bumble Sumowax. Thanks to it’s thick texture, it holds my hair and allows me to create styles really easily. I’m not too keen on the scent of it, but that doesn’t matter too much.

Step Five – Smelling good is really important for a guy, well, that’s what I like to believe anyways. I take pride in being clean and looking tidy, so owning a nice aftershave is the least someone could do even if they don’t follow a grooming routine. My latest scent is the Hugo BossBoss Bottled‘ (*). It’s very sharp and fresh smelling, yet great for everyday use.

I actually really like reading mens posts as it gives me good ideas for things my partner might like!
Hugo Boss scents are probably some of my favourite for mens!
