real techniques bold metals collection

The most anticipated new brush collection has launched and having read mixed reviews throughout the weeks, I got the chance to try them out for myself and I can honestly say, I am team YAY on this one.

An extension from the main collection, this is a more premium and luxurious range. Judging by the price, these are not for the faint-hearted and especially if you’re already a huge of the main collection, you may find these a bit to pricey for your liking. However, the quality as a whole is on top form and everything from the colour of the handles down to the bristles is well put together and really gives these brushes that extra special something.

I have the Triangle Foundation Brush (*), the Oval Shadow Brush (*) and the Angled Liner Brush (*). Having been a firm fan of the Buffing Brush from the Core Collection for a while, it did take some courage for me to move away and trial a new foundation brush, but I am impressed with the result. The bristles are a bit more dense, but it distributed the foundation well, especially round the nose and chin area. The eyeshadow brush is actually my favourite, the large, oval head picks up pigments well and spreads the shadow evenly. Lastly, the angled liner brush is perfect for use with gel or cream eyeliners. The slanted angle makes applying eyeliner super smooth and precise and can be used on the eyebrows too. I am definitely a huge fan of these brushes and would highly recommend checking them out if haven’t.

What are your thoughts on the Bold Metals brushes? Will you be trying them out?

I've got myself the Tapered Blush brush but I so badly want some more! I agree that they're pricey but worth the investment – after all most of us use makeup brushes every single day and these do look the part as well as being functional. Definitely fancy the Oval Shadow Brush as well since I only have two eyeshadow brushes at the moment!
