Sun Care With Nivea

Now that the weather is starting to get warmer, it’s time to think about sun care. I cannot stress the importance of SPF any more than I already have, so let’s get straight in and introduce you to a couple of Nivea‘s newest products.

Some of you may or may not know that I am currently on holiday in Asia and the weather is super hot (I’m not rubbing it in, I promise, hehe!), so a high SPF is a must for me. Nivea recently launched a Protect & Bronze Tan Activating Protecting Oil (*), a silky oil formula that protects and moisturises the skin against sun exposure. With the word ‘bronze‘ in the title, you may think that this oil contains self tan, but there is none of it whatsoever. In fact, it contains a pro-melanin plant extract that supports the skin’s natural tanning process whilst still giving maximum protection against UVA/UVB rays. I have been using this for a week now and absolutely love it. My tan is golden and my skin still feels soft and smooth despite being in the sun for pretty much the whole day.

Along with the oil, another new addition to the range is the After Sun Bronze Tan Prolonging Lotion (*). This lotion has a non-sticky formula which is perfect for applying straight after a cool shower to hydrate and soothe the skin. Unlike a few after sun’s out there that usually have Aloe Vera in them, this also contains the natural pro-melanin plant extract to help prevent peeling or flaking and to prolong your tan.

With this duo, I have managed to gain a beautiful, bronze glow while still staying protected and moisturised. What are your go-to brands for sun care? Have you tried any Nivea‘s sun care products before?

Nivea have produced a rather interesting infographic on sunscreen. Check it out below and let me know what you think.

I really like the sound of the new protect and bronze – what a clever idea! I hope they do it in factor 50, as it would be perfect xx
