5 Reasons Why I Love Travelling

Travelling the world has always been a dream for me, wanderlust and all that jazz is totally up my street all day, everyday. If I had the funds and the opportunities, I would pack up and go tomorrow. There are so many reasons why I love travelling and today I’d like to share the five reasons why it ticks all my boxes…..

Learning and experiencing the different cultures – There is no better satisfaction than leaving a country knowing all about their culture and how they live their lives. It really puts everything in to perspective and makes you really appreciate what you have in life. The knowledge you absorb and take away is useful and powerful to you and helps to broaden your horizons for the future.

Trying out different types of food – I am a bit of a foodie at heart and trying out different foods is always high on the list when visiting new countries. Some things may sound odd at first, but when you actually put it to the test, you may be surprised. I have tried anything from frog congee to pig’s intestines and they actually taste real good. My tip is to not think about what it is and just give it a go, if you don’t like, then no worries, at least you tried.

Meeting new people – I am a people’s person and I’m always up for meeting new friends. In almost every country I have travelled to, I have found it quite easy to strike up a conversation with the locals or fellow travellers. There’s nothing better than listening to them tell their stories about their country or their travel experience which in turn enhances your knowledge even further.

Recuperation – Going travelling is the perfect way to recuperate. The time is yours to relax, chill out and think about nothing other than yourself. You have no deadlines, no targets, no time limits, just you and you only to totally let yourself go.

Creating memories – Memories are something you create, those precious ones that will stick with you for as long as you live, they can’t be replaced, only remembered. You can always make money, but you can’t always make memories. So take as many vacations as you can, go to as many places as possible, you will never regret it.

Do you love travelling? If yes, tell me why, I would love to know.
