Father’s Day Beauty Gift Guide

what to get for fathers day

Father’s Day
is due upon us and I have rounded up a little beauty gift guide for
those who are planning on getting your pops a nice set of beauty
products this year. I mean, deep down, even though he doesn’t want to
admit it, my daddy is the vainest person ever, so I’m sure he’d be more
than happy to receive these gifts on Sunday June 21st.

Fragrance – If in doubt, fragrance/aftershave is always a good choice. Here, I have picked out a few selections for different tastes. D&G Intenso is quite woody, with fresh aquatic notes and a warm base. It is great for evenings out due to it’s deeper scent. Paco Rabanne 1 Million Cologne is a lighter version of the original and is more energetic while still maintaining the charm of the signature scent. Lacoste L12 12 Jaune is light and refreshing which is perfect for the summer months. Lastly, Thierry Mugler A*Men is elegant and masculine with a warm musk base that is extremely alluring and sensual.

Hair – Hair products are an essential in most men’s beauty
routine, my dad especially is obsessed with keeping his hair neat and
tidy at all times, so I’m sure these Bumble and Bumble goodies will make him very happy indeed. BB Texture is a fine paste that is best applied on damp hair to achieve an effortless, ruffled look. Sumowax is a hard wax with strong, yet flexible hold. Best used on dry and shorter hair types. BB Gel is a sculpting gel that can mould and shape any hair types while allowing the hair to be soft and free.

Skin and Body – Skin and body care is not for all men, but
maybe now’s the time to get daddy in to a routine, I’m sure he’ll thank
you for it later. One of my favourite skincare brands, Liz Earle have a men’s range and their products are honestly, so, so good. The Sensitive Shave Cream and After-Shaving Moisturiser are the perfect combo to ensure smooth and soft skin. For those on a budget, the Nivea Men’s range is a good shout. The new Sensitive Cooling Shave Foam and Sensitive Cooling Moisturiser work together by cooling the skin to prevent irritation and is suitable for even the most sensitive of skins. Another high end brand, if you’re really fancy treating your father is Clarins. They have just added two new products to their Age-Control range, the Revitalising Gel and the Anti-Fatigue Eye Serum which work hand in hand in treating wrinkles and fine lines. Lastly, just a couple of body products; the Liz Earle Face and Body Wash is gentle enough to use on the face and body, so it’s perfect for dads on the go while the Nivea Men Creme is a classic favourite and will ensure skin is soft and smooth after application.

Will you be treating your dad to any beauty goodies this year?
