Greggs use to be one of my favourite places to go to for lunch during my school years. I use to always go for a Tuna Bloomer Sandwich or a Chicken Bake followed by an Iced Bun #yum. Fast forward all these years and they have transformed their range, adding in new selections as well as making their classics even better. They’ve also revamped their stores too which looks super trendy now with grey decor and lower lighting.

As it was National Picnic Week a few weeks back, it’d would have been rude not to celebrate in style, albeit a bit late. So off I went to the park on a lovely Friday evening with my picnic hamper and stopped off at Greggs on the way. They have recently launched a new Balanced Choice (*) range which includes everything from pasta to tasty sub rolls and fruit pots all for under 400 calories. The Ham Salad Sub Roll was probably my favourite, closely followed by the Chicken and Bacon Layered Salad, they both tasted really good and flavoursome.

With this new range in tow, Greggs have definitely upped their level in terms of offering a healthier choice for their customers and you will see me in there more often, now that the love has been reignited, all those memories of my school years will come flooding back (still a kid at heart).

Are you a Greggs fan? Will you be giving the new Balanced Choice a try?
