Facials are probably the one treatment that I don’t often have, mostly because when I book myself in at a spa or salon, I always opt for a massage first, purely for the relaxation factor. I quite often forget that facials can also be very relaxing and definitely something I’d like to look more in to for future salon/spa dates.
Back in the summer, I popped along to Omniya in Knightsbridge to trial the Repair, Restore and Replenish treatment with SkinCeuticals which was created by Debbie Costello, aesthetic therapist and head of the beauty team at Omniya. The treatment is designed to hydrate, firm and lift the skin using a combination of advanced LED Phototherapy and SkinCeutical‘s high potency formulations. Debbie thoroughly explained the whole process to me before it commenced to ensure I was aware of each step and I found this really useful, because I do get nervous during facial treatments. Despite the different machinery used during the facial, at no point did I feel uncomfortable, in fact, it was super relaxing and I actually drifted off a couple of times. After the treatment, at first glance in the mirror, I noticed instantly that my skin looked much more radiant. I had congestion round my jawline and that immediately looked less sore thanks to the Dermalux red light therapy which helps to soothe, heal and calm the skin. A few days after the facial, my skin was still looking clear and bright and felt extremely hydrated. At £250 a go, this treatment doesn’t come cheap, but the results are honestly outstanding and if you fancy treating yourself, then this is definitely something I would recommend.
Are you a fan of facials? If yes, how often do you think one is needed?
