It’s that dreaded time of the year again, if only we could all just stay in bed all day, drink coffee and create stuff as our jobs, wouldn’t that be awesome? Sadly though, that cannot always be true, so back to reality I go, le sigh. To combat that feeling of dread, I have devised a ‘back to work‘ beauty routine using some newly discovered products that I absolutely love. So let me take you on a journey of revival…..
Starting with hair, I am opting for the OGX Niacin & Caffeine range, which is one of the newest collections from the brand. The powerful blend of both ingredients and the addition of AlphaHydroxy Acid and Saw Palm stimulates the scalp and helps to prevent hair fallout caused by breakage. I can really feel it working when I massage it in to my hair and the scent is ever so refreshing.
On to skincare, a face mask is a must to revive a tired, partied-out complexion, so out comes the Proto-col Collagen Face Mask to help nourish, soothe and radiate my skin. The rich texture is perfect for injecting some much-needed moisture and the added Plant Derived Collagen will plump and firm my skin. Before bed, applying a good moisturiser is key for bright skin in the morning, the This Works Light Time Skin Plumper not only boosts radiance, but also plumps the skin by binding water from within. So for those who experience deep creases by repeatedly sleeping on their side or front, this lightweight moisturiser will banish the appearance of pillow marks and sleep lines to reveal a more rested and rejuvenated complexion.
For delicious smelling skin, I have been loving this Fake Bake Beauty Dolce Dreams Lemon Meringue Body Whip. The scent is tangy which is great as a pick me up and the texture of the cream is rich and nourishing to ensure smooth and soft skin. I also find this perfect for prolonging a tan too, so my winter glow will always remain even though I don’t feel it inside.
In the mornings, after pressing the snooze button about ten times, I finally get out of bed and get ready for the day. I have recently started using the La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur to instantly blur my blemishes, control shine and provide a flawless base that lasts all day. This gel textured mousse is perfect for those with oily/combination skin like me because it soaks up the oil, evens out skin tone and erase imperfections with just one layer. The result has always, so far been radiant and bright.
