I do love it when you come across a brand and everything they have in their range, you fall absolutely head over heels for. So let’s talk Becca today. I first came across Becca in the autumn of 2014, when I was interning at the agency that does PR for them. I remember unpacking the new stock and cooing over the Shimmering Skin Perfectors and Beach Tints. Fast forward a year and Becca is now an adored brand that all bloggers know of and not forgetting that famous Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter that graced our eyes constantly in 2015.

It took me a while to build collection of products to try out and my first one was actually the Champagne Pop highlighter that my colleague ever so kindly brought back from the US for me (FYI, it is now available in the UK at Space NK). It is honestly, one of the best highlighter’s I’ve ever tried and you all definitely need one in your life. Complexion products are one of my favourite types of make up to try, so as you can see from the pictures, six of them are face base related items. So, let me start with primer and foundation…..

Backlight Priming Filter and Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme – These two work so well together, either as single layers or mixed in. The Backlight Priming Filter creates a lovely canvas for foundation. Using a subtle, pearlescent glow, it blurs imperfections and allows the complexion to catch the light in the most beautiful way. Adding on a base of the Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme Foundation, which is full coverage, but feels super light on the skin. It contains 21% pigment and 22% water to deliver a base that lasts all day without that cakey feel.

Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme – This concealer is by far one of the best I’ve tried, it’s unique soft mousse texture applies beautifully over dark circles and imperfections and provides crease-proof coverage that doesn’t feel heavy and lasts ages on the skin.

Lowlight/Highlight Perfecting Palette Poured – I was super, super excited when I got my hands on this and it definitely didn’t disappoint. There are two versions, pressed and poured and this is the poured version. The bronze sculpting contour cream melts in to the skin, creating a natural shadow for the perfect depth, whilst the cream highlighter adds light and lift to the complexion without being over shimmery. The Shimmering Skin Perfector is actually the limited edition shade, Quartz which is a warm peach with a hint of pink and only available in this particular palette.

Blotting Powder Perfector – To completely seal and set my base make up, powder is always the one I go for. As much as I love the dewy look, my skin is more on the oilier side, so without a powder, my make up ends up being quite disastrous by the end of the day. The powder texture of this compact is really fine and adheres to the skin nicely. It absorbs oil and creates the most perfect matte finish without adding on a heavy layer.

Ombre Rouge Eye Palette and Ultimate Full Lash Perfecting Mascara – The Ombre Rouge palette is a set of five highly pigmented matte shades to create both subtle and bold looks. It has a built in primer for long lasting effects and is perfect for all skin tones. All five shades are super wearable and can be used wet or dry. The Ultimate Full Lash Perfecting Mascara is my current go-to, it creates length and an enormous amount of volume whilst thickening my lashes from root to tip. The bristles a nicely packed together which ensure enough coverage of each lash for a fuller look.

Shadow and Light Brow Contour Mousse – Last, by no means least, this product is something new to my make up world, a brow contour mousse, intriguing eh? Well, this little pot contains two mousse textured products, one to to fill in and extend the brows and a defining creme which accentuates and sharpens as well as creating an illusion of a lift. Both work seamlessly well together and really does create what they call a brow lift.

Have you tried any Becca cosmetics before? If no, do any of these tickle your fancy?

I discovered Becca through their Beach Tints, too! I've got my eye on their highlighter, and the brow contour looks interesting!
