the body shop vitamin c range

It actually took a lot of self-persuasion when it came to trying out this range, not because I have anything against The Body Shop, I actually love all their products, mainly because I dislike citrus everything, especially oranges and the thought of using skincare with Vitamin C made my skin crawl. Honestly, it’s that bad, it’s not so much a phobia in my opinion, I just don’t like the scent, the colour and the look of an orange, weird, I know, but each to their own right?

When this set landed on my doorstep, I had a mixture of excitement (because I had heard so many great things about this range) and dread, what if I can’t bear the scent? Then it would be a waste. Slowly, I opened the first product which happened to be the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser and to my amazement, it smelt nothing like oranges, just a nice scent with a tang. My skin felt instantly refreshed when using this gel-based moisturiser and it really revitalises my complexion.

The Vitamin C Microdermabrasion is another gem of a product, it gets rid of dead skin cells effectively and gives my skin a soft and radiant finish, also only a slight citrusy smell to this, so another bonus point.

Next, is the Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer, a lightweight, tinted balm which actually does give an instant glow. It’s perfect on it’s own or as a primer and gives a lovely, silky finish.

Last two products, the Vitamin C Facial Radiance Powder Mix is my favourite of all. I have some acne scarring on my chin and uneven skin tone round my eyes and this has massively helped even it out.  My skin feels so much more plump and smooth after each use and continues to give me a brighter looking complexion, I absolutely recommend this if you’re looking for something affordable yet effective for helping with skin tone. Finally, the Vitamin C Eye Reviver Duo is the one that definitely smells very orangey. But, despite that, it’s a lovely eye cream/serum and produces great results for dark circles. It’s both refreshing and moisturising and over time, I noticed my dark circles becoming lighter and under eyes becoming less puffy, so definitely, another beauty of a product from The Body Shop.

Have you tried anything from the Vitamin C range at The Body Shop? If not, will you be looking to give it a go?
