5 Reasons Why I Enjoy Visiting The Coast

dymchurch tourist attraction

This Easter I hopped along to Dymchurch for a day out with Dan and his family. The weather, albeit, slightly blustery, was beautiful, with the sun out and only a small amount of rain. There’s just something so right about being by the coast, the walk along the sides, taking in the views and just simply enjoying every ounce of being by the sea. So that prompt me to write this post today, sharing five reasons why I enjoy visiting the coast.

The View – No one I know has ever told me they dislike the view of simply looking out at the sea. The waves splashing, the flow of water, the amazing sunsets, regardless of where you are, all views of the sea are amazing. It’s surprising how picturesque they can all be despite the colour of the water. Obviously, clear blue seas are the best in terms of visual, but even the murkier waters can still look beautiful in my opinion.

Great For Relaxation – Whenever I walk along the seafront, I immediately feel a sense of relaxation. I feel calm and collected and listen to every single thought that comes in my head, it’s honestly, such a great feeling. Sitting down and just taking a moment to relax and think while by the coast is one of my favourite things to do and most of the times, I leave feeling so much more positive and ready to face anything going forwards.

Fish and Chips Taste Ten Times Better – This is definitely so true! To be able to demolish a nice portion of fish and chips by the sea is just so, so enjoyable. The scrumptious taste alongside the view of the sea is something I’d definitely recommend trying out. Finishing off with a huge 99 ice cream, my day is literally complete.

Watching The World Go By – There’s nothing better than grabbing drink and some snacks, then sitting on the sand or pebbles or if you don’t like either, a bench will do and just watch the world go by. You will see so much and same as point two, it’s such a lovely way to just relax your mind and not strain your brain with thoughts of the unnecessary. I could sit for hours on end, not talking to anymore and simply just observe, it’s honestly really, really nice.

Perfect For Family Day’s Out – As I did last weekend, a day by the coast is the perfect family day out especially if young children are involved. There’s just so much to do and it’s just great for kids to be outdoors, exploring and having fun. Whether you decide to having a picnic on the beach, venture off to the fish and chip shop or trying your luck in the arcades, there’s definitely something for everyone and I guarantee you, there will be many memories made just by having a day at a the coast.

Do you enjoy being by the sea? If yes, what are your favourite memories?

I love taking time off to just walk along the seafront and let the breeze take away my stress. From time to time, I like to go to Brighton where I can enjoy a bit of the seaside and also some funfair rides 🙂 Can't wait for the weather to get warmer!

I definitely love being by the sea. I feel quite drawn to it and I don't really know why – maybe because it's just so different to the towns and cities where I spend most of my time. It always leaves me inspired too. I feel like I need to go to the coast now though haha!
