Bed Time Beauty Favourites

beauty products to help with sleep

I never use to have a bedtime ritual, I would always sit at my desk till the way after midnight churning away at blog posts, trying to get them scheduled for the week and then heading straight in to bed, then still going on my phone. This had a major effect to how I would feel waking up in the mornings. I felt tired, groggy and all round moody having to get up an get ready, so at the beginning of this year, I decided to make a few changes to my bed time routine which included winding down a lot earlier than midnight, keeping my phone as far away from my bed as possible and introducing a few beauty products to use just before bed to help me relax.

I love love love, the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, so when I caught wind of the latest Sleep Plus range, I knew I needed to try it out. I have always suffered from the worst bed hair and every day, I had to use clips to tame it as much as I could before I left the house and even that didn’t always cure it. So I started sleeping with my hair in a super loose ponytail and before bed, I would spray some of the This Works Sleep Plus Hair Elixir in to my hair. This 2-in-1 treatment aids sleep by slowly releasing the essential oils as well as promoting hair vitality and banishing bed hair totally.

One product that I always try go to bed applying is some sort of balm or cream to my lips. They get so, so dry throughout the night and I hate that feeling when I’ve forgotten to apply some before bed and I wake up with the most driest lips ever! The beauty gem I’m using at the moment is the Zelens Lip Treatment Oil and my god, is this stuff good. It restores and replenishes moisture in my lips as well as protect and plumps. I always wake up with the most softest lips and it’s acts a really nice base for lipstick too.

Lastly, to reduce and minimise dark circles under my eyes, once a week, I enjoy applying some sort of under eye treatment. The one I’m currently loving is the Masque Bar Dark Circle Reducer Patches which sits nicely on my skin and can either left on for thirty minutes as part of an evening pamper or left on overnight for a more penetrative effect. I always wake up with softer, lighter and firmer under eye skin and the best thing about these are, they’re so compact, easy to use and a great bargain too.
