The ‘Must Try’ Serums

the must try serums

Serums have become a much-needed and very important step of my skincare routine. Not only does it add that extra layer of hydration and protection, but also helps to ensure my skin condition is maintained and at it’s best at all times. Over the years, I have tried a humongous amount of different brands, loved several and disliked several, but the ones I choose to share on this blog is definitely the ones I’d tried, tested and highly recommend. So let me talk you through three of my current favourites and the ones you need to add to your ‘must-try‘ list.

zelens power c treatment drops

Zelens Power C Treatment Drops – Okay, so this product is more of a pre-treatment to serum or moisturiser as directed, but for me, it acts as a serum as I apply moisturiser straight after using this. This deeply penetrative treatment serum is supercharged and rich in vitamins which delivers the essential nutrients to my skin without over-drying. It is lightweight in texture and applies super smoothly creating a more brightened complexion and a defensive system against free radicals. It contains 20% Vitamin C which acts a barrier against ageing elements and really helps to bring out the radiance from under the skin. I love this serum, not only just for it’s amazing effects it does for my skin, but also for the scent and the packaging. It’s a handy size for travelling and the pump top dropper makes it super hygienic too.

vita liberata self tanning anti age serum

Vita Liberata Self Tanning Anti-Age Serum – There is no doubt that I love a nice, natural looking glow and this self-tanning serum from Vita Liberata fits the bill perfectly. As well as giving my skin the gradual bronze it needs, it also helps to smooth out fine lines and conditions the skin. Similar to the Zelens serum, the pump dropper applicator makes it easy to use (I only need one to two drops) in my regular moisturiser or on its own and I get the most gorgeous looking glow. Again, I am absolutely loving these compact style serums and the packaging for this one is so point with the dark copper lid.

la roche posay hydraphase intense

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Serum – This one has probably been my life saver over the last couple of months. With the back and forth of the weather change, it has caused my skin to become dehydrated and sensitive and this serum has helped to restore moisture to my skin without causing any irritation. I have always been a huge La Roche Posay fan and this honestly exceeded all my expectations and more. The gel-base texture is fast absorbing, yet provides long lasting moisture and acts as the perfect base. My skin is always glowing after applying this and I’d highly recommend it if you have skin that always play havoc due to weather change.

Are you a serum user? If yes, do you consider it as an important part of your skincare routine?

You must have read my mind! I have just posted about my new and definitely improved skincare routine and was just saying how I needed recommendations for a new serum. The La Roche Posay one sounds absolutely perfect for my skin too.

As I have really dry and dehydrated skin a serum is an incredibly important step for me in my skincare routine. My current favourite is the Avene hydrating one and I'm currently using the Vichy Aqualia Thermale one but I'm not as keen on that one. I was considering trying the La Roche-Posay one next as it's currently on offer on Escentual and I think you might have just sold it to me. My skin is really struggling with the change from winter to spring and my skin needs rescuing! x
