It happens doesn’t it? You get to a point where you just lack motivation and feel like you’re stuck in a rut with no ideas on how to feel productive again. Being in this creative industry is hard, not only do you have to constantly keep up with the latest trends; you also have to think outside the box in order to be different and stand out. The fashion/beauty/lifestyle/travel blogging industry is so over-saturated right now and it is hard to produce something that someone isn’t doing already and it’s very easy to get down about it all. But you know what, if like me, you’re either in the situation now or have been through it before (maybe several times), only you can get yourself through this and I promise you that you will get through it.

Feeling productive, especially with this blog is something I’ve always tried to improve at, but with a full time job and juggling blogging on the side, it does tend to take its toll and can become quite tough. Also, with the amount of procrastination I do daily, it often gets me nowhere, so what’s a girl to do? I have come up with five steps to help get you back on track and these are the ones I use all the time and they honestly help so, so much.

Change your environment – Most of the times, sitting at a desk trying to churn out work is tiring and brain frying in itself, whether it’s getting up and taking a quick walk outside or simply just changing rooms for ten minutes can really clear your state of mind.
Be active – If you’re not crunched for time, doing some exercise can get your adrenaline pumping and in turn make you feel more productive and reset your perspective. Try it! It really works.
Break up your day – We all know that feeling of having so much to do, but not knowing where to start. Breaking down your day in to small chunks can help you focus on the smaller parts and then building in to completing the bigger task.
Have a clear goal – Know what you’re aiming for and what the end result will be. This will keep you focused and clear in achieving the best you can for that particular task or job.
Set yourself a time limit – Set yourself one hour and in that one hour, focus just on work and being productive. Put your phone out of reach, don’t turn on the radio and just keep your head down without allowing any distractions. After one hour, see how much you have achieved, make yourself a drink and do it again.

Do you have any tips on how to be more productive? If yes, I'd love to know.

I always find making realistic to-do lists helps me be productive, as seeing what I have crossed off and achieved makes me push to finish the whole list!

Definitely, I love a good list. xx
Great tips! I totally agree with changing your environment, that tip helped me out so much in uni and still helps me now with blogging 🙂
