Guys, before we start, can we please take a moment to appreciate the amazing decor in the rooms of Hotel Indigo, Hong Kong? I mean, the view alone, is already incredible, let alone the facilities, the amazing staff and the well equipped 138 rooms. Based in East Wan Chai, hidden neatly amongst the hustle and bustle of the busy street, the modern Hong Kong Island hotel boasts floor-to-ceiling windows offering panaromic views of the area and is in within walking distance to the subway station, shops, markets and restaurants.
There are 138 guest rooms, 6 of them are suites. I stayed in one of the Superior King rooms and from the moment of stepping in, I instantly felt relaxed and at home. The signature colours surrounding the hotel are blue and red, so there are many bright touches in each room, from the sofa to the cushions to the rugs, and not forgetting the famous Chinese tea pot and scattered art designs. The view of the city through automated curtains are breathtaking - this hotel is honestly incredible.
Room types include:
- Deluxe room
- Superior king room
- Superior twin room
- Premier suite
- Presidential suite
Just a bit more on the view from the hotel, because you know I haven't told you about it enough yet, haa! The infinity pool on the top floor is glass-bottomed, yup, you heard me right, so it's definitely not one for the faint-hearted, but if you're good with heights, then you will LOVE this pool (and the view of course). There is also an on-site fitness centre with the basic machines such a as treadmill, cross-trainer and weights.
To be honest, finding food in Hong Kong is super easy, you can simply step out of the hotel and there are restaurants, stalls and markets everywhere, so you never be short of a good dining session. However, if you fancy staying in the hotel for food, there is a restaurant called Indicolite on the 2nd floor which serves a wide range of local and international cuisines. There is also an intimate roof top bar, called Sky Bar on the 29th floor serving up classic cocktails, great wines and delicious snacks. Sky Bar is definitely the perfect place for a catch up with friends or an after work wind down drink.
Have you visited Hong Kong before? If not, It's honestly, the perfect place to sight-see, eat, drink and shop to your heart's content.
