“You are your own worst enemy”, that’s not the first time someone has told me that. It’s about time I realised that the flaws that I think I have are simply just thoughts in my head. When it comes down to the nitty gritty part, I’m not nervous until I start thinking about it and I won’t succeed if I keep thinking I won’t, so it’s time to taking control of those thoughts which aren’t always easy, but practice makes perfect and focus on what’s real and achievable. The mind is ‘the’ most influential contributor to everything we do, from our successes to our failures which means it super important to channel the thoughts, replace negative thinking with positivity and believe in yourself.
The quickest and easiest way is to learn how to spot those negative thoughts as soon as it makes its way in to the mind and crush them. It’s not easy and takes a lot of practicing, but once you’ve mastered it, I promise you, it makes a whole lot of difference. Here are some thoughts that we should all try to train our minds to believe everyday.
I am grateful for what I have
Be thankful for all the opportunities that come your way, appreciate what you get to experience through each and every one of those opportunities and even more so, be grateful to the people who have guided and supported you through the journey. Be it big or small, express gratitude and appreciate more often. Learn to be happy with what you have, where you are and who you’re with at this moment, you don’t have to wait to be in a state of happiness, count your blessings and see every positive in any situation.
I have goals
No one really knows exactly what they want to do or want to be in life, but who people who have been successful will always have an idea of what the end result might look like and you know what, you can do that too. Always plan and make small moves to get where you want to be and depending on what goals have been set, have a clear vision and it may not always be a smooth ride, but you will 100% get there in the end. Believe in yourself, accept who you are and what you’re capable of, don’t be afraid and be proud of what you’re set to achieve.
I will always try
This is a very important one and one I truly believe in. Always try, because you never know if you don’t. If there is nothing to lose, then why not just go for it, if you really want something and believe in it, you will find ways to make things a success. If you fail, learn from it and try again. Always try as much as you need to, focus on it, put all your energy in to it and get as much help as possible. The end result can be a moved mountain if you start with positive thinking.
I will help
There are always others who need help, lend a hand and do what you can. Yes, you may not get anything in return and I’m not saying you have to go out of your way, but as a person with your own mind, you know who to help and in turn, when you’re in need in the future, they will help you back. In all honestly, being a good person is hard, but as long as you know, deep down, you have done the best you can, then that’s all that matters. Don’t compare yourself to others, look at your own strengths, capabilities and accomplishments, when you feel good about yourself, you motivate and inspire others.
I will succeed
Successful people are committed, they make the time for everything and everyone and they work damn freaking hard. People will appreciate you for who you are, what have achieved and what difference you have made. Don’t wait for the right moment or the right person to come along, it’s all in yourself and your mind, always think ‘I can and I will’. Be passionate about what you want, be excited and definitely hold your grace, you will succeed, whatever it takes.
