I love travelling and there's nothing better than landing in your destination filled with anticipation and excitement. If like me, you also enjoy a good browse through duty free on your journey, then you may want to carry on reading as I have some treats waiting for you.....
I always tend to head to the airport earlier just so I can browse the shops for all the duty free items and the exclusive specials. Food is never high on agenda for me, because I generally just grab a hot drink and a sandwich on the way to the gate or on long haul flights, I get a couple of meals anyways, so I'm never too fussed about food. My first stop is always the beauty area and nine times out of ten, I have a list as long as my arm for MAC make up. I'm sure you all love a good MAC lipstick and the only time I do stock up is when I'm travelling. From time to time, they also have some amazing limited edition collections like the Caitlyn Jenner products or make up box sets which are exclusive to duty free, so I would definitely check them out if you get the chance because they do come slightly cheaper than buying each item individually.
I also stock up on my favourite skincare and bodycare items when going through and love speaking to the sales assistants about the latest launches. The Bobbi Brown Remedies will definitely be something on my list when I'm next travelling. I have these travel size ones and they are honestly so good, my favourite is Skin Clarifyer and it's perfect for my oily/combination skin as it helps to clarify and unclog pores. The Clinique Deep Comfort duo is super cute and handy for travelling also, so instead of packing big bottles in my suitcase, grabbing these on the go are much more convenient.
I nearly always pick up a new fragrance through duty free because I think I may have mentioned it on here before, but getting a new perfume to take on holiday is something special to me as it will always remind me of the memories of that particular vacation. Cheesey as it sounds, it's true and I still have the Britney Spears perfume I bought when I first went to Singapore and it will always, always remind me of the good times from that holiday. I will be travelling again in April and my aim is to pick out a new Jo Malone scent. I love her colognes and I have my eyes (and nose) on the English Pear and Freesia fragrance. Since I had a hand and arm massage at a travel event recently (FYI, they are available free at all Jo Malone stands at airports, super exciting), I can't get the scent out of my head, so I am going to bypass MAC for the first time and head straight to the Jo Malone counter next month.
Are any of you's travelling soon? If yes, will you be checking out the beauty duty free area for some of these treats?
