The Hyde Bar is located, just a short walk from Paddington station at The Royal Park Hotel. Neatly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main street, the luxury cocktail bar is built to resemble a 19th-century British townhouse. Classic artwork, huge plush sofas by the fireplace and a warm lighting arrangement, the intimate surrounding is is comfortable, cosy and perfect for anyone who is looking to relax and unwind after a long day.
Head chef, Matt Mckiernan has worked in many award-winning kitchens before he joined The Royal Park and devised a menu of small plates which is designed to be shared, further promoting the idea of a relaxed experience within the area. A small, but well formed wine list showcases wines from small and independent vineyards and a quality focused selection of cocktails grace the drinks menu also.

THE DRINKS
The unique drinks list contains a comprehensive selection of spirits from the around the world, from timeless classics to rare sourced whiskies, talented bartenders are at hand to assist and advise to what suits your taste. We opted for the La Belle Noir cocktail (champagne) and the Artist's Highball cocktail (whiskey), which were made to perfection and they both tasted amazing.

THE FOOD
The small plates menu is carefully crafted by head chef, Matt Mckiernan and reflects the bar's philosophy of creating a luxury, yet chilled environment. Our waiter suggested that three plates per person (shared) would be perfect, so we opted for a couple from each category, fish, meat and vegetable. All plates tasted incredible and were super moreish, my personal favourites were the Beef and Horseradish Truffles and the Saute of Wild Mushrooms. We ended with one of their famous light desserts, the Trio of Pavlova which finished off our visit nicely.

Nestled in a quintessentially British townhouse, The Hyde Bar is the perfect spot to unwind with good drinks, good company and sure is, a diamond within the Central London area.
