It’s that time of the year again – summer holidays in full swing and every year, I love sharing my travel beauty essentials with you all.

Those who know me well, know that my travel essentials always contain SPF, it’s never not featured and quite frankly, it’s the one beauty product type that I make sure I always take. There’s nothing more important than protecting your skin in the sun and every year, on every sun-drenched trip, SPF is always by my side. This year, I have chosen Garnier for my main SPF. I absolutely love all their skincare stuff, so giving their suncare products a try was something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I always use suncare products that are specific to body areas due to skin type and formulation, so when I gave the Ambre Solaire Sensitive Advanced Hydrating Face Mist SPF50 a go, I was super impressed at just how easy it was to apply. Similar to all face mists/fixing sprays, all I did was spray it on to my skin, press in and voila, fully protected all day. Body-wise the Ambre Solaire’s Ultra-Light Dry Protection Mist SPF30 is a god-send for my skin, not only does it absorb in to the skin super-fast, it also makes my skin feel soft and comfortable as well as protected. The Ambre Solaire Aftersun Hydrating Tan Maintainer is a lovely, cream-gel addition to soothe sun-parched skin and acts as an extra layer of moisture which I think is super important after a long day spent exposed to the rays. It also helps to maintain a tan which is an added bonus.

On to the subject of skincare, I tend to follow my usual routine whilst away, but with a couple of added products for extra nourishment. I have been loving the Jurlique Calendula range lately and thought that it would make the perfect addition to my travel essentials thanks to its super calming formulation. The mist is great for cooling the skin and providing a good base and the moisture cream is perfect for restoring any loss moisture without aggravating the skin. The Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil is one of my go-to’s for pushing extra nourishment in to the skin at night time. After cleansing and toning, I will massage a few drops in, especially on the forehead and nose area, where the skin is thinner and prone to dryness from the sun. Overnight, this sinks in and leaves my face feeling super moisturised and ready for another day of rays.

Aside from the odd spritz of salt and texturising spray during travels, I don’t tend to do much with my hair. What I do always take with me, is a detangling brush as my hair does get quite dry and in turn, making my hair extra tangled and hard to brush out. The Wet Brush is my new best friend on these occasions and I love the fact that it runs straight through the strands, root to tip without me having to tug or pull at it. It literally detangles my hair within seconds, it’s amazing and perfect for holidays.

As for nails, I tend to have gels on my toes, but for my hands, I love bright shades for travels and tend to change them often, so the Nails Inc Longwear Nail Polishes really come in handy as they’re easy to apply, long-lasting and come in an array of lovely shades to make your nails pop. I also ensure I take a pot of nail polish remover and the Nails Inc Nail Polish Remover Pot is fab and so quick at removing unwanted polish.
