The Anti-Aging Haircare You Need To Know About

anti ageing hair care, how to treat fine hair

Haircare is one of those things that once you get right, it can be great – this is the case I had with Davines Natural Tech. I first tried some products from the range last year and absolutely fell in love. It was incorporated in to a treatment at Ena Salon which, by the way, was amazing, something I would recommend as a must try if you’re looking to add an extra special treat to a haircut or colour. Before the treatment, the therapist will access your scalp and hair condition and prescribed the best products suited which I find super personal and I love the fact that there is so much care put in to ensuring the right formula is put on to the hair.

Believe it or not, your scalp and hair ages just like your skin does and whilst the focus is usually more on the skin, we shouldn’t forget the need to look after the hair also. This is the main aim of the Davines Natural Tech range which has been designed to treat, nourish and condition both the scalp and hair to ensure longevity is kept at a high level always.

On to the products itself, I was prescribed the Renewing range which is covers most hair types. The Renewing Shampoo stimulates the scalp by ensuring extra nutrients penetrate deeply in to the skin, covering the roots and cleaning from within. As well as cleansing and renewing, the formula softens my hair and makes it look shiny and healthy. Alongside the shampoo, the Renewing Conditioning Treatment acts as the perfect follow on and thanks to its lightweight formula, it doesn’t feel heavy on the hair. I run this conditioner through from the mid-lengths to the ends and leave it on for a couple of minutes before rinsing off. It gives my hair so much shine and leaves my ends feeling nourished and soft.

Once a week, I use the Renewing Pro Boost Superactive Concentrate to intensely treat my scalp. It has gentle exfoliating abilities which safely removes the scalp’s outer layer and prepares it for cleansing and toning (yes, your scalp needs toning too, I never knew this until I tried this range, haa!). The concentrate is a versatile product and can be used in conjunction with the rest of the Renewing range and the other collections too. I generally use this as a pre-treatment by applying it to my scalp with a brush and leaving it on for 15 minutes before rinsing it off and then following on with shampoo and conditioner. My scalp feels fresh, revitalised and clean after each use and it helps with unclogging as I use a lot of styling products during the week.

To finish off my at-home treatment, the Renewing Serum Superactive is the final touch to a healthy scalp and super glossy hair. After conditioning, I apply this to towel-dried hair and let it sink in before styling. It’s an amazing product to have in your routine if you are looking to improve the condition of hair and scalp indefinitely. The hair longevity complex contained in all the Natural Tech range ensures the youth of all scalps are maintained to the best level.
