I don’t know about you, but when it comes down to make up and in particular, foundation, I almost, always struggle to find one that ticks all the boxes. Is there really a foundation that is perfect? I’m not sure yet, but what I know is that I have tried several that are amazing for all different reasons, so in today’s post, I wanted to share those with you and why they’re perfect for people on the go all the time, like myself.

full coverage foundation
Mii Cosmetics Absolute Face Base

Starting off with the one with the fullest coverage of them all, this foundation is an absolute gem and a dream to apply. It’s light in consistency and when blended, it leaves the most flawless finish on my skin. The creamy texture ensures that hydration is kept at an all-time high, so the skin feels soft and looks smooth. I found that applying this with a brush and then blended with a sponge gives the best effect.

pur minerals bare it all foundation
PUR Minerals Bare It All

I have always been a fan of PUR Minerals make up, especially their mineral face powder which is absolutely amazing. Bare It All is medium coverage foundation that applies easily and leaves a perfect dewy finish. Thanks to its unique formula, it gives 12 hours wear which I have tried and tested, and it does, in fact work which makes it perfect for those always on the go with minimal time to touch up their make-up.

the best cc cream
IT Cosmetics CC+ Full Coverage Cream

There was so much hype around this product and I honestly don’t know why it took me so long to try it, but it doesn’t matter, here I am now, giving a review on the best CC cream I have tried – yep, bold statement, I know. Super lightweight in texture, yet provides amazing coverage and protection (did I mention it has SPF 50 in it? Nope, well now you know). It’s very, very rare to find a good CC cream with all the benefits you need and I’m pretty sure I found it. All hail IT Cosmetics in providing this beauty.

models own foundation stick
Models Own Foundation Stick

I had hits and misses with foundation sticks previously – maybe because I don’t know exactly how to use them properly and utilise them to their best advantage. However, after a few YouTube tutorials and a bit of playing around, I think I finally sussed it. The best way to apply is to build on it, don’t go straight in and start painting every corner of your face because you’ll end up with too much foundation. Models Own Foundation Stick contains two parts, the actual foundation stick and a core middle which is in fact, a primer. So, they work together to create the perfect base. I have since found out that Models Own is no longer in business (Christ, it does take me long to get round to trying samples) which is sad as this foundation stick is actually great for oily skin types like me as it provides a super smooth and matte finish. Without further ado, we’ll move on to the next stick, shall we?

lancome stick foundation
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Oil-Free Foundation Stick

Last, but not least, the ultimate on-the-go foundation of choice has to be this one from Lancome. I wore this for two weeks straight and loved it! It’s probably the most comfortable foundation I have worn in a long time and it felt like there was nothing on my skin. This has a buildable blend and once you have the right formula of application and mix of product, it’s perfect and a dream to wear. It’s oil-free which is a bonus for those with oily skin types and stays put all day with minimal upkeep needed.
