How to Become a Calmer and Happier Person

Developing a way to remain calm under pressure and the stresses and strains of everyday life is a must. If you can keep that cool demeanour despite everything turning sour around you, you are far better equipped to deal with the situation. A calm person simply seems to breeze through like, nothing getting them down. They have the God-sent ability to rise above. But this is something we all have in us to achieve. By becoming calmer, you will worry less, be less grumpy and bad-tempered, and things will just seem to flow better. Take Time Out

It is very important for your mental health that you take some time out, just for you. Whether that be simply ten minutes in the morning or evening, or longer if possible, maybe take a nice relaxing bath every now and again. Try a meditation technique. Sit in a quiet room, turn off all distractions and concentrate on your breathing. Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. Try to let all thoughts flow out of your mind. If you manage to do this for a full ten minutes or more, you will feel a lot calmer. You will also find that you will be able to come up with solutions to problems much easier with a clear head. Why not try painting, writing, dancing, or learning an instrument, etc. There are so many ways to focus your energy in a positive way.

Take a look at your life and highlight anything that causes you stress. There are many things that can do this, such as a toxic friendship, to an activity you don’t enjoy and don’t have time for.
